Pilot study of a compact pneumatic compression device for lymphedema
Kim Marshall who is widely respected for her care and treatment of lymphedema patients is conducting a pilot study in our Garden Grove office with ResMed who is developing a pneumatic (air) compression device that may help improve the lives of people living with lymphedema. If you have lymphedema, you may be interested in this trial.
ResMed is recruiting participants for a pilot study for a prototype pneumatic (air) compression device. Participation in this study will be about 1 week. It will require two visits to the study clinic. The first visit is at the start of the trial period and will take about 90 minutes. The second visit is at the end of the study and will take about 30 minutes. You will be given the trial device to take home to use and assess between the two visits.
Participants in the study will assess the comfort and usability of the trial device in the home setting after they complete the 1 week take-home period.
ResMed is seeking interested participants who have lower leg lymphedema and are using pneumatic (air) compression. If you are eligible for the study and provide consent, you will be asked to visit the Progressive Physical Therapy and Rehab in Garden Grove, CA, to take part in the study.
There is no cost to take part in this trial. You will be compensated at the end of the study with a $200 gift card for your time and travel to the clinic. If you are interested in taking part, please contact our Garden Grove office at 714.643.9012.
